What is Wireless Internet?
High-Speed Internet Without the Wires
Wireless internet technology uses radio waves to send internet signals through the air. Most of the time, wireless signals are sent from equipment located on a tall tower, through the air, to a limited radius surrounding the tower. In some cases, line-of-sight from the tower to the destination is required to ensure quality internet service.

Wireless Network Timeline
From Planning to Going Live
Building a wireless network requires significant time, investment, and coordination. Each site must go through a series of steps, including planning, funding, permitting, construction, and equipment installation. These stages can take months or even years to complete, especially when unexpected delays—like weather or supply issues—come into play.
Wireless networks are typically built one site at a time, which means some areas may receive service before others. Even after a tower is constructed, additional work is needed to connect, test, and activate the site. As a result, service can go live gradually, location by location, as each site becomes fully operational.
